Job Duties:
The Assistant Warehouse Manager shall serve as the backup for all warehouse responsibilities in the absence of the Warehouse Manager. This includes but is not limited to: supervising the day-to-day shipping, receiving, tool inventory, and stock inventory control. Other duties include performing stock pulls from inventory and for tools. Also, responsible for ensuring that the inventory levels are maintained, tools are in good working order, yard and building are maintained, and other miscellaneous duties as needed.
Job Duties:
- Shipping/Receiving, Inventory.
- Responsible for the daily inventory control. This includes either doing or approving all stock pulls.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure there are proper quantities, no dead stock, and cycle counts.
- Confirm with Warehouse Manager what is in stock and what needs to be ordered.
- Assist when needed in the receiving and verification of shipments.
- Make sure all incoming shipments are marked with Job Name, Received Date, and Storage Location. This, should all be recorded on the Job Tracking sheet.
- Make sure packing slips are sent out daily.
- Make sure all backorders are reported and any damage is noted.
- Ensure all returns include the proper paperwork, and with the assistance of Purchasing, all product is returned in a timely manner.
- Manage and assist when needed in the packing, loading, and organization of shipments for job sites.
- Ensure staff is performing their duties efficiently.
- Ensure proper safety policies are followed.
- Miscellaneous projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience in a commercial warehouse preferred.
- Experience in inventory management preferred.
- Basic computer skills required.
